2011 Beneficiary: Children’s Home, Tera, Imphal, Manipur
Shri Ayekpam Tomba started the Children’s Home in 1976. Her daughter Ayekpan Naobi now manages the children home. In February 2011, when we visited them, there were 50 kids of various ages and educational level starting from grade 1 to grade 10.
We came to know that in June 2011, Tomba, the kid with the black spectacle on picture 16, passed his Matriculation examination with distinction in 4 subjects out of the 6 subjects, akin to getting 99 percentile in SAT. He got admission into Millennium School in Manipur and is pursuing his higher secondary schooling.
